Chisinau mayor does his job, despite being under house arrest

Chisinau mayor Dorin Chirtoacă has started doing his job, although being under house arrest.
He was helped by his lawyers to sign a series of documents to unfreeze the finances of municipal entities.
Consequently, over 10, 500 teachers and educators have started receiving their salaries and vacation payments.
Exdrupo, a road-building municipal company will get 4.6 million lei and the bus company – 3.5 million lei.
The city-hall’s got frozen in the wake of the mayor’s being arrested on May 25 in the probe into the paid parking lots.
He is suspected of influenced peddling and faces 7 years of prison.
