Lithuania backs up Moldova's European path - Minister Linkevicius
Prime Minister Pavel Filip met today with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius on his working visit to Moldova.
The head of the Executive thanked the Lithuanian diplomat for the constant support given to the Republic of Moldova in its European path and for the programs implemented in our country with the support of the Lithuanian Government.
Over the course of 10 years, Lithuania has supported over 100 projects in various domains in Moldova.
"Reforms do not provide us the immediate results or rightly benefit citizens' pocket. But I'm sure they will produce tangible results over time. That's why we need the European Union, including Lithuania, to support and promote the reforms," he said. Pavel Filip.
For his part, Minister Linkevicius pledges their support on Republic of Moldova in completing its European path and implementing reforms that will improve citizens'welfare.
The Republic of Moldova and Lithuania established diplomatic relations on July 8, 1992. Moldovan-Lithuanian relations are governed by 49 bilateral agreements in various fields.
