A 63-year-old woman was crushed by a taxi this morning in the Străşeni city. 

According to the police, the driver fell asleep at the wheel, went out on the counter and hit the old man, who crossed the street. As a result, she died on the spot until the doctors arrived on the ambulance.

The driver aged 24, will risk criminal case. 

Another road accident occurred in Ţânţăreni village last night in Anenii Noi district which injured a 66-year-old woman. She crossed the road in a forbidden place.

The victim was hospitalized with lots of injures at Anenii Noi Rayon Hospital. The local police are determining the accident circumstances.
