Former Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoacă has voiced his vote. He mentioned that he voted for a proper relationship of the mayor with his voters.
"We have come to the elections to put an end to usurpation and to continue the European development of Chisinau. The expectation is certainly the same with the expectation of the hundreds of thousands of citizens of the Republic of Moldova who also rose in 2009 for a European future, and in 2010, and in 2014, and in 2016.
We want a rule of law with the correct rules of functioning of a state. With the separation of powers in the state. With Parliament, Government, Justice to work separately and fourth power to be independent. All of us have gotten overhead, "Dorin Chirtoaca said.
PUBLIKA.MD reminds that more than 630 thousand inhabitants of Chisinau are expected to vote for the mayor. For that, as many as 32-cm vote tickets have been printed. Citizens can exercise their right to vote until 21.00.
11 candidates craved the mayor's office of the capital, which remained free in February, after Dorin Chirtoaca's resignation. Most of them, namely 10, are members of political parties. Only one contender runs independently.
