Transnistria ensured diagnostic devices for tuberculosis and HIV infection
Adjustments were made to Government Decision no. 1160 on the approval of the National Tuberculosis Control Program for the years 2016-2020 and the Government Decision no. 1164 on the National Program for Prevention and Control of HIV / AIDS and sexually transmitted infections for the years 2016-2020.
The project addresses the critical situation in the Transnistrian region, where the proportion of HIV and TB infections is 1/3 compared to the statistics on the right bank of the Dniester River, and the available stocks are sufficient until August 2018.
Thus, the project creates the necessary regulatory framework to ensure the Transnistrian region with the medicines and medical devices necessary to prevent, combat and treat people suffering from these dangerous diseases.
The mechanism for supplying dispensaries and specialized centers in the country's eastern districts with anti-tuberculosis and antiretroviral drugs as well as diagnostic devices for tuberculosis and HIV infection through the Ministry of Health, Labor and Health Ministry Social Protection, following the conclusion of the relevant contracts, with the full payment of the costs of the purchased items and of the overhead expenses in a volume of 5% of the cost of the goods to be used in order to ensure the appropriate conditions for their preservation.
It is worth mentioning that by 2018, the needs of the Transnistrian region were fully covered by the Global Fund to Fight HIV / AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, and from the current year they are to be covered from the region's resources.
