Deputy Premier discusses Transnistrian settlement with OSCE diplomats
The Moldovan deputy premier responsible with the Transnistrian issue, Gheorghe Bălan, has met with the special Representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office for the regulation of the Transnistrian conflict, ambassador Wolf Dietrich Heim, the head of the OSCE mission to Moldova, Michael Scanlan, and other OSCE-related diplomats.
Gheorghe Bălan has said he will do his best to speed up the negotiation process and get substantial results to the benefit of the people living on both banks of the Dniester.
Moldova plans to broach the following issues at a new round of talks:
- no obstacles to free movement;
- good working conditions for Romanian-language school in the Transnistrian area;
- farmers’ access to farming lots;
- opening bridge over the Niester near Gura Bâcului and Bâcioc.
