Following the poisoning at wedding on July 26 in Lozova village, Străşeni, 27 persons were hospitalized and 10 persons received ambulatory treatment in hospital from Călăraşi.

Inspectors of the Territorial Food Safety Subdivision Străşeni, together with the specialists of the Străşeni Public Health Center, went on the spot to determine the circumstances of the incident. 

12 samples of food products and samples were taken for laboratory investigations at the Apparatus and Certification Metrology Center. Unfortunately, it was not possible to take samples of raw material.

Inspectors of the Străşeni Branch have drawn up a control act suspending the activity of the festival hall until the identification of the source of food poisoning and performing procedures for the hygiene of the food and festivities hall.

The epidemiological inquiry is ongoing.
