A new suspected measles case has been registered in Chisinau, the National Agency for Public Health announces after a 5-year-old child became new patient. 

The case is under investigation. 

There are 79 cases recorded since the beginning of this year. Forty of them were detected during 01.06.2019-30.07.2019.

The territories affected of measles since January 1, 2019 are: Chișinău – 48 cases, Drochia – 18 cases, Ocnița – 6 cases, Ialoveni – 2 cases, Briceni – 1 case, Edineț – 1 case, Stefan Vodă–1 case, Glodeni — 1 case și Dondușeni – 1 case.

340 measles cases were recorded in 2018.
