A Moldovan who had returned from an Italian risk area was suspected of having COVID-19 and admitted to the Toma Ciorbă Infectious Diseases Hospital. The announcement was made by the Health Minister Viorica Dumbrăveanu. 

The authorities refused to disclose details on the patient's age and gender. The test result will be declared this afternoon.
