There are 12 million seedlings that could be planted in the green campaign, according to the Moldsilva Agency director Dumitru Cojocaru,

Cojocaru also appealed to the Local Public Authorities, state institutions, educational institutions and other organizations, to establish the areas to be planted and to submit requests for the provision of planting material to the territorial subdivisions of the Moldsilva Agency.

Also, foresters will go to schools, kindergartens and other institutions to promote this civic campaign.

The decision of the Moldsilva Agency is to continue this initiative in autumn, and in the future it could become a tradition.

The tree planting campaign comes in the context of marking the International Day of Forests on March 21 declared by the United Nations in 2013.
