NBM Deputy Governor Ion Sturzu detained for 72 hours

Anti-corruption prosecutors demanded 30 days of preventive arrest for Moldovan National Bank Deputy Governor Ion Sturzu, detained on Sunday, in the Chisinau Airport.
Ion Sturzu is suspected of fraud and money laundering in very large proportions, in the file of bank fraud. The information was confirmed for Publika TV by Serghei Gavajuc, the interim head of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office.
We recall that several NBM senior executives were detained last week by Anticorruption prosecutors. The NBM Deputy Governor Aureliu Cincilei was released shortly after his arrest. He's banned from leaving Chisinau.
The NBM former governor, Dorin Dragutanu was placed 30 days of arrest.
