One-off aid worth up to 16000 lei will be sent to budget-paid employees who contract COVID-19 while the salaries of the frontline health workers will be doubled in April, President Igor Dodon has announced.   

As for companies which suspended their activity by the decision of the Exceptional Situations Commission, the state will refund the income tax and the contributions for the social and medical funds amounting to 100% when they pay employee's salary. This targets the salaries in February. 

For other enterprises the state will compensate 60% of the taxes.

During the period of emergency, unemployed people who have worked in the last 9 months can receive 70-80% of their wage. Those don't meet this condition will receive up to 2800 lei.
