Romania is sending a group of doctors and medical staff to Moldova to help fight the COVID-19 epidemic. Also, a batch of sanitary materials and medicines will be sent from Romania's reserves, including medical masks and protective equipment. The announcement was made recently by the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, during a press conference.
"The situation in Moldova is complicated and Romania, which considers itself an extremely important partner of the Republic of Moldova, will prepare and implement in a few days two important measures. First: a team of doctors and medical staff will travel to the Republic of Moldova to help the hospitals and the doctors there to better deal with this epidemic. A second action will consist in sending masks, sanitary materials, protection, and even medicines, from our reserve in the Republic of Moldova to help the citizens there to get through this epidemic more easily ", said Klaus Iohannis.
