Restaurants, cafes and hotels reopen after almost three months
Restaurants, cafes and hotels start resuming their activity after almost three months. However, the administrators will be responsible for the observance of several measures established on May 25 by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission.
In response to the coronavirus outbreak, customers need to have their temperatures checked at the entrance to the restaurants, cafes and hotels. They will be refused service for having fever.
Only four people can sit at the table, except for large families.
Moreover, tables need to be installed at a safety distance, at least a meter and a half. Staff are required to wear masks, gloves and, if necessary, visors.
Every two hours the masks will have to be changed and the common areas and bathrooms will be disinfected. Employers will also need to provide separate toilets for employees and customers. Those who do not comply with all the rules risk being fined.
At the last meeting of the Government, Prime Minister Ion Chicu warned that the premises that violate COVID-19 control measures will be closed.
Nicolae Furtună, the director of the National Agency for Public Health, recently told Prime that the HoReCa domain resumes its activity only for economic reasons, and the premises should have remained closed from an epidemiological point of view.
"From an epidemiological point of view, HoReCa may have to open in two months. From an economic point of view, they are down to earth. In fact, the idea of relaunching and relaxing some previously established restrictions has always been accompanied by the potential that COVID did not leave us ", declared Nicolae Furtună.
