Kindergartens remain closed after August 1: PM Ion Chicu
The coronavirus situation remains serious in Moldova, so the kindergartens will be closed after August 1, PM Ion Chicu announced during the show "Moldova în Direct" on the public television station.
"The state of health emergency will be prolonged, at least that's what my colleagues say after we had a preventive discussion. Obviously, we won't be able to reopen the kindergartens from August 1st. But we are preparing the ground for September 1st, to reopen the kindergartens. We are working on the schemes for organizing the educational process in schools, I am referring to the seven scenarios announced by the Ministry of Education. The pandemic has not gone anywhere and we must continue to take measures," the prime minister said.
Moreover, Ion Chicu stated that Moldovans have not become more responsible and continue to violate the COVID-19 protection rules. According to him, another pavilion was opened for coronavirus-infected patients.
PUBLIKA.MD reminds that the educational institutions in Moldova suspended their activity on March 11, due to the pandemic. Recently, Prime Minister Ion Chicu said that kindergartens will remain closed at least until August 1.
