The government will procure 3 million protective masks, which will be handed to each participant in the presidential election on November 1 and November 15, if necessary. 

At the next meeting, the Executive will allocate the necessary financial means, Prime Minister Ion Chicu announced during the meeting with the WHO representative in Moldova, Igor Pocanevici.

This measure will be provided by the government to increase the degree of epidemiological protection of citizens, but also to help ensure an increased turnout.

The parties agreed that they will continue to coordinate activities aimed at mitigating the effects of the COVID 19 pandemic, as well as other actions in the field of public health.

"We focus on providing the necessary support to increase the capacity of the medical system. It is important to provide hospitals with all the indispensable equipment and we aim to increase the capacity of mass testing of citizens ", said Ion Chicu.

The head of WHO in our country reiterated his readiness to support the Government's efforts during this difficult period, in turn to provide full support in the process of managing the epidemiological situation.
