90% of Chisinau hospitals places for Coronavirus-infected patients are occupied, the total capacity being 1,037 beds. The topic was discussed during the weekly meeting of the City Hall.

"Patients in the municipal hospitals are not only from the Capital but also from the countryside. 15% of patients are from the countryside", mentioned the head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health, Tatiana Bucearschi.

According to Bucearschi, from October 1, more than 100 people are brought daily to the COVID-19 Center at Moldexpo. As the data show, most patients who are diagnosed with COVID-19 are in the age groups of 60 years and older, but also people aged between 30 and 39 years.

The mayor of the capital specified that the Gira platform helps montor 18,085 COVID-19 patients treated at home. 

Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 27,000 people have tested positive for the new coronavirus in Chisinau.
