The section for children who have metabolic disorders and malnutrition from the Mother and the Child Institute will be renovated. The repair works started two months ago and will be finished till the end of this yeas. Totally, the budget of the National Company of Assurance in Medicine allocated 450 thousand lei.

For almost 50 year, there were only a few reparations.

''There was decorative terracotta on these walls. But, as the years passed, it was deteriorated and there were pieces that were falling'', said Ala Jivalcovschi, the chief of the Pediatrics section.

The employees of the institution say the sewerage is defect too and the linoleum must be changed.

''The conditions were bad, previously. The nightstands were broken, the beds were heavy and it was impossible to change their place or to wash underneath, the linoleum was broken, we had a lot of problems'', said Valentina Ptesca, chief assistance.

''The sewerage was bad, the water was flowing, we were having floods every time. It would have been better if they repaired it'', said Lilia Rotari, nurse.

The renovations of the Pediatrics sections were ready in proportion of 70%. The manager of the institution asked some more money, as the fund of 450 thousand lei was not enough. A non-profit association initiated a national campaign of collecting funds.

''The main door and ten other doors will be changed, which is very important. The required sum is two thousand euros'', declared Natalia Savciuc, the executive director of AO " Învingem Fibroza Chistică". 

During the repair works, the patients are hospitalized in some rooms close to the section.

''It is very good for the children. We should fight for our children, because they are our future and they need better conditions of living'', said Natalia Savciuc, executive director of AO " Învingem Fibroza Chistică". 

Yearly, in the Pediatrics Section are hospitalized over 800 children from the whole country.
