Parliament speaker Andrian Candu offered a historic gift to the German Foreign minister, Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

"These are five diaries written by a German couple from 1941 to 1945. They were found in Moldova. The notebooks contain details about the authors’ life and messages for their families. I want the thoughts preserved in time to their destination: the descendants of this couple,” Candu posted on his Facebook page.

Minister Steinmeier committed to find the relatives and to give them the diaries.
