Andrian Candu on International Day of elimination of violence against women
The International Day for combating violence against women is marked worldwide today, November 25th.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Moldova and "UN Women Moldova" start the "16 days of activism against gender based violence" campaign.
For the first time in 14 editions, the opening campaign will take place in a rural village.
Until December 10th, various events will be organized to prevent and combat violence in several districts of the country.
The Parliament Speaker Adrian Candu supports the official campaign and affirms that men are responsible for abuses against women
"Violence camouflage fears and frustrations. I support the campaign against violence because we, men, are the ones who should stop abuses against women. In most cases men are the aggressors. Successful men do not beat women, do not allow any of those around to do so. #togetheragainstviolence" , wrote Adrian Candu on a social network.
