Anti-Corruption prosecutors are searching offices within the Economy Ministry.

The raid follows a notification by prime minister Pavel Filip. 

Sources close to the probe have told PUBLIKA.MD exclusively, that officials from the Economy Ministry are concerned in an investigation regarding the management of a state-owned company.

Since the probe is under way, prosecutors refrained from offering more info.

According to a press release of the institution, the Ministry of Economy expressed full support on actions taken by National Anti-Corruption Officers.

"Ministry of Economy has always opted for a correct development of national legislation in all areas of social-economic activity and the promotion of a firm policy in order to eliminate any negative phenomenon.  Only through such actions, such cases can be excluded and objectives of country's modernization can be achieved" , reads the press release.
