Aqueduct work: 11 localities of Floreşti to be supplied with potable water
11 localities in Floreşti district will benefit potable water till the end of next year. Construction works of aqueduct was set off today in Zăluceni village.
The construction cost 60 million lei, half of which is from National Fund for Regional Development. The rest comes from The Swiss Water and Sanitation Project in Moldova, as well as the beneficiaries.
The work is planed to benefit 3,600 households in the district. Accordingly, each of household gave 2,500 lei for this benefit.
"I think this project is nothing unusual. It's good for inhabitants absolutely", said a local man.
Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Regional Development say the project will be extended.
"Today the launch of construction works has started, we hope that by the end of 2018, this work will be completed and people will already benefit from water.
"Moreover, this project will be possibly inaugurated in other 11 localities", said Igor Malai, Deputy Head of Regional Development Directorate.
There are 32 of 74 localities in Floreşti district are fully supplied with drinkable water.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, just over 41% of the localities in the country are equipped with aqueducts.
