Financial Market National Committee has appointed a special administration at ASITO. The decision comes after five employees have been detained by CNA officers and anti-corruption prosecutors. They are investigated in a case of embezzlement of financial means in huge proportions and money laundering.

ASITO will be managed by Viorel Barsan, an attorney from FMNC. Recently, the representatives of the insurance company have requested the withdrawal of their license. The FMNC declared that, until a result for the request will be announced, the company is obliged to honor its obligations towards each client.

ASITO has over 20,000 agreements of general insurance and 8,000 of life insurance.
