Belarusian companies exhibit products, sign contracts at 'Made in Moldova'
Belarus has held the presentation of its export and investment potential in Chisinau. Contracts on the supply of $700,000 worth of Belarusian products to Moldova were signed during the event, BelTA has learned.
According to the Belarusian embassy in Moldova, the presentation of Belarus' export and investment potential for Moldavian businessmen was held as part of the Made in Moldova exhibition. Taking part in the expo was a delegation of Belarusian companies led by Director General of the Gomel Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Marina Filonova.
The Belarusian delegation was on a visit to Chisinau from 31 January to 3 February. The visit was organized with the assistance of the Belarusian embassy in Moldova. Belarus was represented at the exhibition by Batstraktor Company that assembles MTZ tractors in Gagauzia.
A business matchmaking session was attended by representatives of Belarusian companies Gomel Khimzavod, Minsk Plant Kalibr, Minsk Car Repair Plant, Energopromavtomatika, Raton, Shchuchin Creamery, and also more than 30 Moldavian enterprises.
The delegation held talks with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova, the Moldavian Railways, wholesale and retail chains, Moldavian economic entities, potential consumers of Belarusian products.
Ways to increase Belarusian exports to Moldova were considered at the meetings in the Belarusian embassy in Moldova and the joint company Keramin-Chisinau.
