Moldova and United Arab Emirates (UAE) have signed today two documents to strengthen bilateral relations.

The Agreement between two governments on economic and technical cooperation was signed to stimulate economic cooperation and establish new spheres of cooperation.

The document provides for the development of partnership in the following areas: trade in goods and services, investment, industry, agriculture, infrastructure, environment, energy, education, information technology and the financial and banking sector.

Additionally, the parties agreed on the establishment of the Moldovan-UAE joint economic commission. This will help boost bilateral economic relations.

Also, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed on bilateral political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries. The document will help strengthen partnership relations in areas of mutual interest and establish an inter-institutional cooperation mechanism between the two states.

At present, four bilateral treaties are signed between two countries in the fields of air, economic, investment and diplomatic relations.
