Prime Minister Pavel Filip met today with US Ambassador to Moldova, James Pettit. Officials approached the whole spectrum of the Moldovan-American partnership, in particular following the recent visit by Chief Executive of Chisinau to the United States.
The imperative of communication has been highlighted on all available channels for the qualitative achievement of those agreed upon in the discussions with the US administration and legislator. Prime Minister Pavel Filip expressed gratitude to the United States for the generous support given to our country in various fields and formats.
In particular, US support for the United Nations General Assembly resolution on the withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of the Republic of Moldova and for the US Congress resolution reflecting the support for our Western aspirations was appreciated.
