Border Police signed with FRONTEX Agency new plan of cooperation
The Border Police Delegation, headed by Chief Commissioner Fredolin Lecari, had an official meeting with the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (FRONTEX), headed by the Executive Director Fabrice Leggeri.
The event was attended by His Excellency Iurie Bodrug, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Moldova to Poland.
The meeting focused on intensifying the relations between the two authorities and to provide support in various areas of common interest.
In the meeting, the officials signed a new Cooperation Plan between the Border Police General Inspectorate and the FRONTEX Agency for the years 2018-2020. The bilateral document covers the following cooperation segments: risk analysis, vocational training, joint operations and pilot projects, information, research and development areas.
The meeting demonstrates the willingness of the two sides to maintain and develop cooperation in the field of EU policy implementation on integrated border management, strengthening cooperation in counteracting state border crime, combating illegal migration and other related illicit activities.
