Cecilia Malmstrog: Terms are being respected and soon Moldova will receive first tranche from 100 million euro
European Commissioner for Trade, Cecilia Malmstrom that is on a visit to Chisinau has confirmed that all terms for Republic of Moldova to receive financial assistance are going well, therefore soon the firth tranche will be transferred.
"The material support is offered on certain conditions. Those terms also take into considerations the discussions with International Monetary Fund and from what I understood they are going well. The Venice Commission came with certain recommendations and we will keep an eye on how well they are respected. The first tranche will soon be transferred" Cecilia Malmstrom announed.
PUBLIKA reminds that EU ambassadors have approved an agreement according to which Republic of Moldova will receive macro-financial assistance amounting to 100 million euro.
60 million will be offered as a loan, while 40 million- as grant. This assistance is meant to support the implementation of reforms.
