Children with heart ill-formations will be operated on for free, as the Medical Insurance National Corporation has already financed the first seven surgeries.

"Ten children will be operated on next fall. If everything goes well, we plan to make this special program a tradition starting from 2018,” said Health Minister Ruxandra Glavan.

As many as 400 babies are annually born with heart ill-formations in Moldova.
