Chisinau sets up two more hospitals to receive coronavirus-infected patients
Chisinau has set up two more hospitals to receive coronavirus-infected patients: St. Michael the Archangel Hospital and Valentin Ignatenco municipal children's hospital. The announcement was made Monday in a meeting at the City Hall.
Meanwhile, the organization of a sorting facility in Moldexpo is underway. The makeshift hospital will be ready by Wednesday.
During the Publika Report show on Publika TV, the director of the National Agency for Public Health, Nicolae Furtuna, announced that the center is intended strictly for coronavirus suspects.
"The center will receive persons taken by emergency 112 service. It targets specifically coronavirus-related cases", Nicolae Furtuna said.
He also assured there is no risk to journalists, in the context that the facility is set up near Publika TV headquarter.
The makeshift hospital will have a capacity of 700 beds.
