Church in Causeni town to be restored from USD 150,000 grant provided by US embassy
After being forgotten for centuries, an architectural monument will regain its splendor. The church from Causeni town will be restored from a grant of 150 000 dollars, provided by the US Embassy.
Yesterday, March 31st, the Ministry of Culture signed a contract with two companies to carry out repair work.
The repair works will begin after Easter. Experts were chosen on a competitive basis. They are in Romania and have extensive experience in restoring heritage objects dating from 14-18.
Mihail Solomone who worked on repairing the Palace of Culture in Iasi, Romania will also participate in the project.
Over the past seven years, the restoration project of the church was a priority for the Ministry of Culture.
Residents of Causeni hope will it will become a tourist attraction.
