Comrat residents to choose their representative in Gagauzia Popular Assembly

Residents of Comrat will take it to the polls today, March 5th, in order to elect the People's Assembly of Gagauzia. Five thousand voters will give their vote for one candidate.
The candidate is Vitalie Dragoi, who will win the elections only if he will register more than 50 percent of the vote.
The elections will be declared valid by the Election Commission from Comrat if 33 percent of voters will come at the polls.
Previous election results were declared invalid by the Supreme Court.
