Constitutional Court explains time limit to form governing alliance after parliamentary elections
Constitutional Court explained that it will reach the time limit of 90 days this midnight to form ruling coalition after parliamentary elections on February 24.
The elections were validated on March 9. There are 90 days since then on June 7.
The Constitutional Court declared inadmissible the referral by the Presidency concerning the interpretation of the Constitution with a view to determining the date from which the three-month period of Parliament's inactivity for the dissolution of the Legislature is calculated.
Magistrates believe that the answer to the question of the head of state is contained in the earlier interpretation given by the Court and even in the text of the Constitution.
This time limit has been also confirmed by former President of Constitutional Court Alexandru Tanase.
