Coronavirus death toll reaches 40
Two more deaths due to COVID-19 were recorded in Moldova, announced the Ministry of Health. These are the 39th and 40th deaths since the pandemic began.
The first victim was a 71-year-old man from the city of Bender, admitted to the Institute of Emergency Medicine. The man suffered from grade II hypertension, obliterating arteriosclerosis of lower limb arteries.
The second person was a woman, 72 years old, from Balti municipality, transferred in serious condition from Balti to the Institute of Emergency Medicine on April 4, with comorbidities: high blood pressure, hypertensive heart disease.
People are urged to stay home, avoid public places and respect personal hygiene measures. We remind that the risk groups are the elderly and those with chronic underlying conditions
