Over 18 million lei donated to combat COVID-19 on bank accounts opened by Finance Ministry
18 million 331 thousand 214.48 lei has been donated to the accounts opened by the Finance Ministry for the purpose of combating COVID-19.
The Ministry of Finance informs that in strict accordance with the Law of public finances and fiscal budgetary responsibility, about 13.5 million lei was transferred to the Intervention Fund of the Government.
According to a Government Decision on April 10, an amount of 5,864 million lei was allocated from this fund to purchase 51,428 protective suits and grant one-off allowances worth 16 thousand lei for 29 beneficiaries from 8 public health-medical institutions and a budgetary institution who contracted COVID-19 in the workplace.
Publika recalls that on March 17, the Finance Ministry opened 3 accounts for donations to combat COVID-19 in Moldovan lei, US dollars and Euros. Donations can also be made through the Government Electronic Payments Service Mpay.
