IGP deputy chief Gheorghe Cavcaliuc and chief of Center for International Police Cooperation, Viorel Țentiu will participate on November 7-8 2017, at the first international conference in the area of safety and security, in Capital of Qatar, Doha, organized by STADIA project of Interpol.

The participation at the conference was possible thanks to the support of his Excellency Mohammed Bin Ali AL-MALIKI, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Moldova, in the context of strengthening the bilateral dialogue on police cooperation.
The events being together high ranking officials from Qatar and Interpol member states, as well as representatives from Governmental Agencies, law enforcements and international organizations from 60 countries.

The international conference, meant for Police chiefs, is meant to discuss main security and safety issues during major manifestations, as well as complex issues regarding the protection of mass activities and the threats that may arise during them.

The conference will debate upon global threats and implicate all world countries to ensure safety during massive events, as well all their participants.

During his visit to Qatar, Gheorghe Cavcaliuc has also met with Secretary General of Interpol, Jurgen Stock. The officials have discussed multiple aspects regarding combating crimes within Europe, the role Republic of Moldova had within it, Interpol's role on an international plan and the role of our Center for International Police Cooperation in exchanging data and information on an international plan.

STADIA project, basing on a global network of experts, hosts international conferences with renowned leaders in the area of international law and security, to share their experience and allow Interpol member states to apply best practices to ensure security during massive sport events.
