The first round of the presidential election unfolded transparently and openly, in accordance with international standards.

It’s the conclusion of the observers from the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations. 

According to the experts, although irregularities did exist, they did not influence the electoral process negatively. Some drawbacks were committed because of unclear instructions or electoral clerks’ negligence.

The network’s observers monitored the suffrage at 114 polling stations and will monitor the second round on November 13, too.
