EU Border Assistance Mission donated personal protective equipment to Moldovan border police
The Border Police received a lot of personal protective equipment from the European Union Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM). The donation contains 1500 protective visors and 1.2 tons of antiseptic.
According to a statement from the Border Police, the visors will reach the border crossing points open to traffic and each border policeman will be provided with antiseptic spray.
"The donation offered by the European Union is extremely necessary and important while the number of illness increases daily. Employees of the institution are exposed to high health and safety risks. We appreciate the noble gesture of the EUBAM partners in protecting the Border Police force and the essential contribution to prevent the coronavirus from spreading. We thank you!", the IGPF chief Corneliu Groza said in his message.
In the context of the Easter holidays, the Border Police reiterated the urges to citizens to show a preventive attitude towards the COVID-19 and to stay at home.
