Three Romanian identity carts were found by the border police at two Moldovans, while they were passing the border. In the first case, the person was a courier of the fake IDs, in the second case, the man was the owner of the document and wanted to use it in Germany.

A 44 year old citizen of Republic of Moldova who declared he goes to Germany was detained because the police found a fake identity card, got with the Romanian authorities' approval. Even if in the photo, the border officers recognized the man, the data wasn't the same as in the database.

The man said a friend helped him to get the fake ID, for 200 euros. He intended to use it in Germany. Moreover, his friend prevented him not to present the ID at the custom post.

Other two fake, Romanian Identity cards were found at Sculeni custom post. The border police found them in a bus from the route Republic of Moldova-UK. After the bus was verified, the driver presented an envelope with two identity cards that were supposed to be transmitted to somebody in the UK.

According to the legislation, if found guilty, the persons with the fake identity cards risk two years in prison.
