Farmers start receiving compensations for apple and plum plantations
The Agency of Intervention and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA) started paying the debt in the form of compensation for farmers, owners of plantations of apples and plums, which have suffered from the restrictions imposed on exports by the Russian Federation in 2014.
According External Relations Service of AIPA, on 11 August, the Agency sent for execution at the State Treasury orders worth 43 million lei for a number of 109 files.
On 17 August, there was made payments to the first 30 beneficiaries, amounting to 10,57 million lei. Money compensations were allocated from subsidy fund, which this year consists 900 million lei.
Beneficiaries of compensation are only legal entities that own orchards of apples and plums with an area exceeding 15 hectares, Moldpres informs.
