Fines for drunk-driving INCREASED dramatically in Moldova
The drivers caught drunk will be fined 25,000 lei ($1.250), as the Moldovan Cabinet has endorsed a draft law in this regard.
The bill is meant to increase the ‘conventional unit’ used to calculate the fines from 20 lei ($1) to 1% of the minimum salary.
The Government has also raised the upper limit admitted for fines as well as the period to pay those from 5 to 10 years.
