A fire burst in the Capital. The roof of the Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology of the Science Academy of Moldova, located in Telecentru, was engulfed in flames.

All people who were in the institute at the time were evacuated.

According to representatives of General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, 9 fire engines were dispatched to the scene. Over 50 trained firefighters are currently fighting against the flames.
