First House modified: Those inherited housing in villages can apply for program
The First House program has been tabled by Deputies. This time, the elected representatives made changes that provide for the extension of the categories of beneficiaries. Accordingly, those who have a village house received by inheritance or donated can apply for program.
"It is proposed that the list of persons eligible for the Program be supplemented by persons who have become owners of dwellings in rural areas as a result of inheritance or donation and are not used by them," said Ştefan Creangă, president The Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance.
However, those who become owners of such dwellings in Chisinau can not benefit from the program.
At the same time, the approved document allows families living in very small flats of up to six square meters for each member to buy a larger house. Family members are considered to be persons who have not reached the age of 18 years.
Also, the financial compensations granted from the state budget to the participants in the program will not be taxed. Citizens aged up to 45, officially employed can apply for the program. The salary must be at least twice the monthly rate and the state will guarantee 50% of the credit balance.
More than 160 credit agreements have been signed so far.
"The process is continued and I am very glad that this program has caught people attention," the president of the Economy, Budget and Finance Committee pointed out.
The First House program can be applied to citizens up to 45 years old, officially employed, who do not have other real estate but also other mortgages. The salary must be at least twice the monthly rate and the state will guarantee 50% of the credit balance.
