Government establishes priorities for 2017
Central and local public administration reform, the reform on procurement, on business environment and review of the Labor Code. They are just some of the government's priorities for this year. The topics were discussed at the joint meeting of the executive and Parliament, which took place today.
This year, the legislative has proposed not only to pass laws, but also to monitor the achievement of documents, especially those that relate to the Association Agreement with the European Union.
"An ambitious plan for the next three years, voluminous, over 500 pages, agreed with our development partners, Brussels, European Union. There are 111 actions. I called it the generic roadmap No.2 and and coordination and control systems of the implementation of what is called Association Agreement" said Speaker Andrian Candu.
In 2017, in order to improve the business environment, the executive promises to conduct the reform on public procurement system and the labor employment. Prime Minister Pavel Filip argues that in this regard will be revised the Labor Code. This year will be also amended the determination method of the degree of disability and working capacity.
"The most ambitious in this agenda is the reform of public administration. I speak from the Central Public Administration to Local Public Administration. From our point of view, this reform is the foundation we need to grow and develop Moldova" declared the prime minister of Moldova, Pavel Filip.
And the projects on country's energy interconnection to European networks will be a priority this year.
"Our goal is to get all procedures completed at the end of 2017 in the construction phase of both interconnection projects. So that in 2019, at the beginning of 2019 we could have in projects in exploitation" said Minister of Economy Octavian Calmac.
In another context, prime minister Pavel Filip talked about how some politicians in the country, who desire to necessarily stand out, address subjects that divide the society.
"Unfortunately, in Moldova, over many years, politicians have come and highlighted and debated the only issues that divide the society. Even though we are different in vision regarding some values, politicians have to bring out discussion only the questions that unite the society" said prime minister Pavel Filip.
Administration of the Parliament and the Government have agreed to organize a new joint session where the topic will be addressed on theft in the banking system. Authorities will discuss the recovery of stolen assets and Kroll report.
