Cars older than seven years will be introduced in the country. The government has not accepted the initiative to reduce the age limit of imported vehicles from 10 to seven years. The draft, proposed by the Democratic Deputies Dumitru Diacov and Sergiu Sîrbu, was negatively endorsed at today's government meeting.

 

According to the Finance Ministry, while the old cars present environmental issue, that problem cannot be resolved only by age limit.

The authors of the project argued that the age limit would be reduced by international provisions. The document was voted in Parliament's first reading at the end of 2016.
