Government to sign financial agreements on extension of Iasi-Ungheni pipeline

The Government will sign today, December 19th, three financing agreements, totaling of 92 million euros. The money is intended to extend the pipeline Iasi-Ungheni to Chisinau.
Which is the second phase of the project by connecting the gas transport system in Romania with the Moldovan and ensure our country comes with an alternative source of energy.
The European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will provide a loan of 41 million euros and the European Commission will allocate 10 million euros as a grant.
Additionally, the European Commission will provide 20 million euros, as a refundable credit.
In total, 113 million euros are necessary for the work to be done.
