Hospitals ready to implement automated information system

Five Republican hospitals are ready to implement automated information system in the coming months. The software allows monitoring cash flow, medications and information about treatments for patients.
Republican Clinical Hospital has created all necessary conditions for implementing the program. The institution has been connected to the Internet and equipped with 205 computers, 121 printers and 20 TVs. Also, health workers have been trained to use the software.
The Republican Hospital leadership claims that, activities will be better organized following the implementation of the program.
The Automated Information System will be implemented in 15 hospitals. The Ministry of Health will be able to monitor online the activity of health care institutions.
"The program will show the number of patients, drugs, financial resources, the plan of the hospital activity" ,said Health Minister Ruxandra Glavan.
The program will allow to verify if treatments are applied according to national protocols. In such a way, the malpractice cases will be prevented.
"When protocol provides some type of treatment and the doctor prescribes something else, the system will alert and will not allow him to commit any mistake" , said Labour Minister Ruxandra Glavan.
The software will be available online to the Republican hospitals through the platform MCloud. And it will be connected to the information systems of the National Health Insurance Company, Automated Information System for Primary Health Care and Cris Register.
Ministry of Health has allocated 9.8 million lei to implement the automated information system.
