Increased COVID-19 cases imported into Moldova. Nicolae Furtună: Travellers returning home must enter isolation

There has been an increase in the number of imported COVID-19 cases in the last two weeks, according to director of the National Agency for Public Health Nicolae Furtună.
According to the Ministry of Health, 36 import cases have been detected in the last 14 days. Seven Moldovans with COVID-19 returned from the Russian Federation, as many from Romania. Four Moldovans returned from the other neighboring country, Ukraine. Three cases were registered from Italy, Great Britain and Germany. Two people who returned from Turkey and France were found positive, and one case was recorded from Afghanistan, Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway and Uzbekistan.
Nicolae Furtună reiterated the obligation of self-isolation for 14 days, for people returning from abroad. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 229 cases of imports have been registered in Moldova, which constitutes a percentage of the total number of diseases.
