Information and Security Service of the Republic of Moldova celebrates State Flag Day
Information and Security Service of the Republic of Moldova celebrates State Flag Day, within a ceremony unfolded at the institution's headquarters. The event took place at the monument honoring fallen heroes from Transnistria War, being attended by the institution's administration.
For State Flag Day, Tricolor was raised on the mast under the national anthem of Republic of Moldova.
At the same time, Gheorghe Racoviţa, head of the Office of Director, spoke of the importance of Tricolor, declaring that for information and security officers, the national flag is the supreme symbol, as they have sworn to it to always protect Republic of Moldova's integrity, sovereignty and Independence.
The ceremony took place in all territorial units of Information and Security Service. While student of of the National Institute of Intelligence and Security, spoke during classes of Tricolor's history.
PUBLIKA.MD reminds that the State Flag of the Republic of Moldova was officially designated on 27 April 1990 by late deputy Gheorghe Ghimpu.
20 years later, Parliament of the Republic of Moldova voted to name this date State Flag Day.
At the end of the 80s, Tricolor became the symbol of national rebirth.
The blue represents hope and stability, yellow for material and spiritual values and red for eternal fire and blood shed in the name of freedom.
