Interpol executive visits Moldova for the first time! Official met with Minister of Internal Affairs (Photo)
President of the International Criminal Police Organization, Meng Hongwei is visiting Republic of Moldova for the first time with his delegation. Therefore, the official spoke with Minister of Internal Affairs, Alexandru Jizdan and the Ministry's delegation.
Within the bilateral dialogue, Minister of Internal Affairs expressed his gratitude to the president of International Criminal Police Organization, INTERPOL for accepting his invitation to visit Republic of Moldova, which will help intensify the collaboration relations between Ministry of Internal Affairs and INTERPOL.
At the same time, the Minister presenter the Ministry's activity, especially that of law enforcement and current reforms. Last but not least, Alexandru Jizdan spoke of the bilateral relations between Moldova and China and the joint projects that gave results.
In his turn, Meng Hongwei expressed his wish to continue collaborating with Republic of Moldova, aiming to continue the cooperation between international law enforcement, intensify information and experience exchange though INTERPOL and establish new relations among all member states.
The official empathized that Republic of Moldova is a leader at the chapter of information exchanged within INTERPOL and a good example for CIS countries to follow, in combating organized crime, gaining significant results.
The leader of INTERPOL also told the Minister of the crucial role Republic of Moldova's representatives have within the Organization and the significant contribution in consolidating relations, of IGPF chief, Fredolin Lecari, who is members of the INTERPOL executive committee, from European Continent and head of the File Control Commission, Vitalie Pîrlog.
After the meeting at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the INTERPOL delegation visited the International Police Cooperation Center, where they spoke with IGP head, Alexandru Pînzari and CCP chief, Viorel Țentiu.
At the same time, Meng Hongwei visited the Ștefan cel Mare Academy, where a meeting took place with the institution's teachers and students. The delegation also met with Prime Minister Pavel Filip and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tudor Ulianovschi.
